Children’s Progress is a revolutionary product for schools designed to assess early childhood developmental and academic skills. Its assessment software is an adaptive “lattice” that immediately adjusts the difficulty and complexity of successive questions based on correct and incorrect child responses to earlier questions.  The questions themselves are presented as fun, easy-to-understand activities that engage children’s imagination, reward them for good performance, and encourage them never to give up.

In addition to developing a number of Flash-based activity engines and episodes for the system, J2 helped with the development of the product’s XML-based assessment platform and rules engine.  J2 also developed a suite of graphical analysis tools to help teachers and administrators evaluate and track performance at the individual, classroom, and school level.
