Forerun Inc. is a rapidly emerging leader in Emergency Department workflow and supporting information system technology.  The Forerun-ED^TM provides the emergency room clinician with a state-of-the-art patient clinical viewer, physician and nurse documentation, and a fully equipped discharge module including multi-language patient instructions, medication reconciliation, and prescription writing.  Of course, Forerun also provides an electronic tracking board to replace the all too common ED grease board.

As Forerun was completing its first successful deployment of the Forerun-ED in 2007, the company engaged J2 to perform code analysis and troubleshooting on the various Ensemble interfaces that integrate the Forerun-ED to the hospital’s ADT, laboratory, radiology, and pharmaceutical information systems.  The success of that initial engagement has since led Forerun to rely on J2 to provide integration services for many of its key customers.  J2 has also done work to enhance and extend the capabilities of the Forerun-ED application itself, most notably an online dictation / transcription feature for clinicians.
