Founded in 1835, New York University School of Law has a record of academic excellence and national scholarly influence. NYU Law has been a pioneer—and continues to be a leader—in programs such as clinical education, public service, interdisciplinary colloquia and global studies.
When NYU Law set out to replace its Microsoft Excel and paper-based reporting mechanisms with a data warehouse and business intelligence application suite, they brought in J2 to design and implement a solution using the InterSystems technology stack. The system we built utilizes Ensemble to pull data from multiple Oracle and SQLServer database instances into a unified Caché data model. A Zen-based application framework allows authorized users to access a variety of ad-hoc reports on admissions data, fund-raising activities, event planning, and other financial and administrative information.
