QuadraMed Corporation is one of the world’s leading providers of healthcare information systems, and one of the most successful and prolific developers of application solutions built on InterSystems technology.  Their product line, which includes Affinity, CPR, and Quantim, is used in thousands of hospitals and other care centers worldwide.

When QuadraMed began forming its plans for the next version of its Smart IX identity management suite, the company engaged J2 to perform a thorough code review of the Ensemble production at the core of the product.  J2’s initial set of findings led to the joint development of a prototype to validate and benchmark J2’s architectural recommendations, which included taking best advantage of features introduced to Ensemble since the original development of Smart IX.  These jointly developed improvements made their way into subsequent releases of Smart IX, to the benefit of both the installed base and new customers.
